Description:

Gary R. Kent, LS, is the director of Integrated Services for The Schneider Corporation, a surveying, GIS and consulting engineering firm based in Indianapolis, where he has been employed since 1983. Mr. Kent is a former president of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, and the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He is on the associate faculty at Purdue University in Indianapolis instructing courses in land survey systems, legal descriptions, property surveying and surveying law, and has received two Excellence in Teaching awards for his work there. Mr. Kent is the chair of the ACSM/NSPS and the ALTA committees responsible for the ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey standards. He has a BS in land surveying from from Purdue University, and is licensed to practice surveying in Indiana and Michigan.
