Course Description:
Orthopedics is no longer just about trauma and broken bones. Orthopedics as a surgical sub-specialty has further evolved into individually complex and technically demanding fields. These fields include an increasing array of devices, prosthetics, and fixation devices.
Working with orthopedic patients can be a daunting task even for experienced healthcare providers. Michael is excited to bring your practice up to speed regarding current orthopedic care. He will share his experience in orthopedic care to convey important tips and techniques for fracture care, sports medicine and out-patient orthopedic care. Sports medicine is not just about competition level athletes any more. Today, focus on fitness has resulted in a boom in "weekend warrior" conditions.
The overall objective is to empower the healthcare professional to immediately feel a sense of confidence through the application of new knowledge. Removing uncertainties and anxiety will allow you to become a more functional player within the interdisciplinary team. Plan to attend to allow Michael to share his practical wisdom regarding modern orthopedics through a lively and highly informative day!
Learner Objectives:
At the completion of this program, you will be able to:
- Discriminate between various fracture patterns.
