CYNDI ZARBANO, MSN-ED, CCRN, CMSRN, LNC

CYNDI ZARBANO, MSN-ED, CCRN, CMSRN, LNC Cyndi Zarbano, MSN-Ed, CCRN, CMSRN, LNC, has been a nurse for nearly 30 years specializing in intensive care. She earned her legal nurse consultant training through the Vickie Milazzo Institute in 2008 and has worked on nearly 250 cases for various boards of nursing. She has worked with attorneys on pre-corrective action and with nurses to meet consultation requirements to fulfill corrective action guidelines.

Additionally, Cyndi has worked as a legal nurse consultant responsible to analyze medical records, determine merit, assist with client interviews, attend medical appointments, locate testing experts, complete chronologies, review billing for accuracy, provide deposition/jury question development, and assist in court strategy development. Cyndi is a renowned national seminar speaker having spoken for numerous companies since 2008, including her own, Clinical Review Consultants. She works for Mayo Clinic in Minnesota continuing her passion for bedside nursing in critical care.

PAUL CLEMENTS, PHD, APRN-BC

PAUL CLEMENTS, PHD, APRN-BC Paul Clements, PhD, APRN-BC, is a psychiatric clinical specialist, an experienced therapist, forensic consultant, and critical incident/trauma response specialist with over 25 years experience in a variety of psychiatric healthcare roles. Throughout his impressive career, Paul has worked directly with patients with major psychiatric diagnoses, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He looks forward to sharing from his expertise as you strive to successfully meet the challenges caring for these patient populations in your own practice settings. His keen insights have been requested to provide counseling and crisis intervention to surviving family members in the aftermath of murder, suicide, motor vehicle accidents, and sudden infant death syndrome, as well as to survivors of interpersonal violence such as sexual abuse, rape and stalking. Additionally, Paul provides nationwide hospital consultation to establish workplace procedures to ensure patient and staff safety/violence prevention through the development of critical risk assessment approaches. Paul's expertise has been reflected through numerous publications and he remains a sought-after conference presenter on the topics of psychiatric/mental health diagnoses, violence and aggression. He is an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse (APRN-BC) with national board certification and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychiatric Forensic Nursing from The University of Pennsylvania.

PAUL LANGLOIS, APN, PHD, CCRN, CCNS

PAUL LANGLOIS, APN, PHD, CCRN, CCNS Paul Langlois, APN, PhD, CCRN, CCNS, is a critical care clinical specialist in the surgical, medical, neurologic, burn, CCU and trauma ICUs of Cook County Hospital, Chicago. Drawing on over 40 years of experience assessing and managing patients with life-threatening diseases, Dr. Langlois provides advanced-level training to nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists and physicians.

Dr. Langlois is committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients through advanced education. His presentations are evidence-based, timely and provide participants with numerous case studies to facilitate critical thinking. As a bedside clinical nurse specialist, he has developed several institution-wide protocols for the multidisciplinary assessment and management of the infectious disease and multi-system organ failure patient.

ROBIN GILBERT, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN

ROBIN GILBERT, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN Robin Gilbert, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, has over 25 years’ experience in emergency nursing. She is both a certified emergency nurse and certified pediatric emergency nurse. Robin has experience as an emergency department manager, manager of cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation and currently as the regional manager for staff development at Central Main Medical Center. She instructs the NCLEX review class for Kaplan and tutors nursing students online for a local college of nursing. Her experience also includes having been an item writer for the Board Certification of Emergency Nursing and a former chairperson. In her current role, Robin is able to remain up to date in the trends and best practice standards for care in emergency nursing. Robin received her BSN from Curry College, Massachusetts and her MSN from Saint Joseph’s College, Maine. Robin is an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and is a reviewer for the ANCC’s Pathway to Excellence.

MARCIA GAMALY, PHD(C), MSN, MHA, RN-BC, CEN, PCCN Marcia Gamaly, PHD(C), MSN, MHA, RN-BC, CEN, PCCN, has over twenty years of nursing experience at the bedside and in staff development. Marcia currently works as a clinical nurse educator at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. In this role, she is responsible for the educational needs for over 250 nurses and support staff on a variety of units, including step-down, neuro-tele and medical-surgical units. She is interested in topics pertaining to the specialties of critical care, progressive care, medical-surgical, and emergency nursing. She is an instructor for BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC and ASLS and works as a per-diem emergency department staff nurse.

Additionally, she is a doctoral student at Villanova University and maintains certification in medical-surgical nursing, progressive care nursing, emergency nursing, and professional staff development. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Marcia combines her role in clinical education with hands-on experience to deliver a high-level learning opportunity that is patient-focused and outcome-driven. The meaningful insights she has to share will be applied easily at the bedside to improve your own care of patients!

Maureen G. Sullivan-Tevault has over 35 years of nursing experience with the majority of her career spent working in emergency services. She has been employed in a variety positions from staff nurse to ED Manager, Trauma Coordinator, Stroke Program Manager, Cardiology Nurse Navigator and Director of Staff Education. Additionally, Maureen works as a legal nurse consultant and health care consultant. She has dual certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Maureen has authored two books on healthcare issues and also writes monthly health columns for The Examiner and Health Triangle magazine.
